French yé-yé singer and icon of sixties pop music, France Gall, has passed away at the age of 70 from cancer. Gall was our first glimpse into the beauty of the women and fashion of the 1960's. With her doll-like features and off-kilter innocence (showcased through often bizarre compositions by Serge Gainsbourg), we were immediately hooked. Our blog wouldn't exist today without that early spark of foreign mystery and intrigue that came from the bubble-gum princess. You will be missed.
