Remembering Shauna Grant / Stranger Things 2

Thinking about Shauna Grant who died after a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head on this day in 1984 (March 23rd). Rest In Peace.

On a happier note (?), did anyone else clock the poster of Shauna in Billy’s bedroom on Stranger Things 2? We were surprised to see her there, but thought it was perfect for his character. We also enjoyed the earlier reference Jim Hopper made to another sex symbol of the era: “I want a date with Bo Derek. We all want things.”

Here are some more shots of the beautiful Shauna Grant from the same photo session.

Porn Star Savannah

anonymous asked: How about Savanah?

Savannah, was an American pornographic film actress who starred in over 100 videos during her career. One of the most prominent Adult industry models of her time. Savannah began using drugs and spending large amounts of money, and she reportedly had severe financial troubles despite her substantial income. She also garnered a reputation for being temperamental, leading Vivid to sever its association with her.

Savannah became involved in a long-term relationship with fellow pornographic actress Jeanna Fine, with whom she later claimed to have fallen deeply in love. In a 1999 interview, following the airing of the E! True Hollywood Story about Savannah’s life and death, Fine commented: “We had an ongoing, on-again, off-again, volatile, loving relationship.

Savannah committed suicide in 1994 by shooting herself after a car accident. On the evening of July 11, Savannah was involved in an auto accident with her Corvette, wherein she reportedly broke her nose and injured her face. Upset over the accident, she went home to Universal City, asked a friend to walk her dog, and then called her manager, Nancy Pera. It was Pera who later discovered Savannah in the garage of Savannah’s home.

Mary Millington / The British Sex Symbol Who Believed In What She Did

how about some mary millington?

Mary Millington
1945—1979

Mary Millington 22 playbird.jpg

“The only really uninhibited, natural sex symbol that Britain ever produced and who believed in what she did."—David Sullivan

Millington was bullied at school due to being born illegitimately, and suffered from low self-esteem throughout her childhood and teenage years. She left school at 15. She had to nurse her terminally ill mother for more than ten years, and began her porn career to pay for her care. In her first Whitehouse appearance adult magazine publisher David Sullivan claimed that she was the bisexual nymphomaniac sister of the magazine’s editor Doreen Millington, and so gave Mary her new stage name. She soon became the most popular model in any of Sullivan’s magazines.

At the height of her fame she was also working behind the counter in Sullivan’s sex shops, mainly in the Whitehouse shop in Norbury. She continued working as a call girl, which she had done since her early modelling days.

Millington’s final appearance was in the Sex Pistols film Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle, directed by Julien Temple, which was released theatrically in March 1980. However, neither she nor her punk rock co-star Sid Vicious lived to see the completion of the movie.

In 1978 she turned 33, and found herself being replaced by younger models in Sullivan’s magazines. She opened her own sex shop, Mary Millington’s International Sex Centre, selling illegal material. The shop was raided by the police on numerous occasions, and she claimed the police threatened her and forced her to pay protection money. In the past she had publicly criticized police raids on sex shops and published the addresses and telephone numbers of Scotland Yard and Members of Parliament in her magazines.

She had always been prone to neurosis and depression, which was exacerbated by her cocaine habit. Her mother’s death in 1976 also affected her deeply, and her behavior became unpredictable. Her life had begun a downward spiral into drug use and depression following the raids on her shop. Her kleptomania became more pronounced in the last year of her life.

Millington committed suicide at age 33, by an overdose of tricyclic antidepressant anafranil, paracetamol and alcohol at her home. Her husband found her dead in her bed on 19 August 1979. She left four suicide notes which were found near her body.

After her death, NCROPA founder David Webb wrote "Mary was a dear, kind person and we much admired her courage in standing up to the bigotry and repression which still so pervades the establishment of this country. A feature-length documentary chronicling Millington’s life, entitled Respectable – The Mary Millington Story, was produced in 2015.

Kristine Heller / Baby Face

maniaketiak asked:
Kristine Heller, I love her sexy face. Appreciate if you could share anything about her, thanks.

Agreed!
Definitely an underrated performer. Sadly she committed suicide in 1989.

Kristine Heller 01.jpg

“Kristine Heller was born and raised in Australia. She came to the U.S. as a teen and wound up in San Francisco. She entered into the porn scene in 1975 and was one of the  Frisco mainstays in the early days of porn.

Kristine Heller 02.jpg

Kristine’s break out role came in 1977 when she appeared in Alex de Renzy’s “Baby Face” where she played Marina Randolph, a nympho who takes on 9 men in the famous orgy on the swing. This film is considered one of Ms. Heller’s best acting roles. She also appeared in another classic, Michael Zen’s “Reflections” also in 1977 billed as Paula Thomas playing Connie, a coming-of-age sister of Bob played by Paul Thomas, who was her boyfriend for a time.

Kristine Heller 03.jpg

Kristine retired from the adult industry in 1978, leaving behind almost 30 movies and loops. In 1999 Paul Thomas directed a movie titled “The Awakening”. In that film, the main character, played by Inari Vachs, is based on Kristine Heller. After leaving the industry, no one  knew where she had gone or what she was doing.

In 1989 Kristine Heller passed away at the young age of 39. She committed suicide but the facts surrounding her death have remained private. But the fact is that while her name may not be a household one in porn annals, she made major contributions in porn’s real golden age of the 70’s. with her performances.”
